2016 Northeast Regional NACD Conference

The New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts and our partners are very excited to be hosting this year's conference. We've gathered and carefully assembled all the key ingredients to showcase the successes of New Jersey's Conservation Partnership. We hope that all participants will gather ideas, resources, connections and tools and leave with a "cookbook of conservation recipes" to try in your own regions! Our goal was to design a conference with a varied menu of tours, programs, speakers and experiences that offer enjoyable and worthwhile opportunities for all. Please join us and let us share our recipes for success!

Come spend a few days in the Garden State and explore the diverse conservation opportunities in the agricultural, coastal, natural (Pinelands), and urban environments found throughout New Jersey and the northeast. The cost for participation in the full 3-day event is $275.00--inclusive of ALL conference events, tours, and activities. (Lodging is separate). Of course, there is also an a la carte menu of options to choose from if you would prefer to pick and choose specific items, and aren't available to attend the full 3 days.

Be inspired by Keynote Speaker, Dr. Doug Tallamy, noted author of "Bringing Nature Home" and professor at the University of Delaware, who will share a "recipe" for successful habitat conservation and a sustainable future. Signed books will be available for purchase.

You'll want to be sure you stay through Tuesday evening for our Jersey Fresh Edible Extravaganza dinner event. This promises to be a fabulous culminating and delicious affair and is being held at one of New Jersey's renowned wineries, Tomasello Winery. August is "peak" seasonal harvest time for foods that New Jersey is well-known for - delicious sweet corn, fresh seafood and the famous "Jersey" tomato--to name a few!

Be sure to reserve your choices early! Registration is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Consider extending your visit to the Jersey Shore! There is much to see and do-VisitNJ.org for more information on places to visit and exciting events, while here.

Nestled within 670 wooded acres along the pristine shores of Reed's Bay, the historic Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway, NJ, offers an ideal setting for productive and inspiring meetings.
