Summer Hike Series #1 -
Fox Hill Park Nature Walk

Due to immensly wet conditions at the Gale Family Forest, we'll be holding off going there until later in the season. Instead we're headed to Fox Hill Park in Franconia! Minutes from downtown, Fox Hill Park is hidden jewel. The trail system runs along the Gale River, with stately pines shading the way. We'll have two options, a longer loop, about 1.5 miles, and a slightly shorter option. Those who choose the shorter loop will stroll along the river. Those who take the longer loop will climb a moderate hill to get the views from a few overlooks facing Cannon Mountain. ACT's Executive Director Rebecca Brown and Bill and Carol Vales will be leading this hike.

The summer nature walks are open to hikers of all ages and abilities, and the terrain at Fox Hill Park is relatively flat with some moderate elevation depending on the loop you choose to take. Kids are encouraged to come along and dogs are always welcome!
