About The Film:
In the Family is a documentary film about predicting breast and ovarian cancer and the choices women make when they are faced with the dangers of a possible life-threatening disease. These stories will help us understand what it means to survive a diagnosis of high risk without being consumed or defined by it. We will discuss the psychological, legal, ethical, cultural and social complexities of genetic testing and how it affects the entire family and the quality of life sacrifices that are involved.
