2017 Alberta Speed Skating
AGM Weekend
You are invited!! Alberta Speed Skating is hosting the 2017 Annual General Meeting and Workshops at the University of Calgary on May 6th and 7th.
Please see our web site for further information. The only bylaw change to be proposed is changing AASSA's year end from May 31st to March 31st each year.
We will have general information and discussion sessions on Saturday, May 6th, followed by the annual Awards Dinner (6pm). On Sunday there will be a Presidents' Breakfast for the AASSA President and the Club Presidents, and then we will meet for the formal Annual General Meeting (AGM), finishing mid-day. The sessions and meetings will be in the Faculty of Kinesiology building; the Awards Dinner will be at Nick's Steakhouse, 2430 Crowchild Trail NW Calgary.

We have some rooms blocked off for our AGM Weekend (the nights of May 5th and 6th) at the Hotel Alma, near the Olympic Oval. The block booking expires April 17th. Please phone or email The Hotel Alma directly about the rooms, and provide them with our group name, "AASSA AGM 2017." The Euro-Style Standard Room Rate is $125 + taxes per night; the 2-bedroom Seasonal Residence is $115 + taxes per night. More information is available on the AASSA AGM Weekend web site.
There are no fees to attend the information sessions and AGM, but there is a $30 Awards Dinner fee to cover costs. Please let us know if you are planning to attend the AGM Weekend and/or Awards Dinner by filling out the attached AGM Weekend registration form. We appreciate knowing your intentions by May 1st so we can make the best arrangements possible for the AGM Weekend!
