A "Try Speed Skating" event is being held at Cardel Rec Centre South on Saturday, August 29th.  This free session is open to anyone between the ages of 5 - 15 years.  No experience is necessary.

Try Speed Skating

Cost:  Free

Participants will have the option of chosing to skate during one of the following ice times;

1:15 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.
2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
3:45 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The afternoon will also include;

• Demonstrations from high peformance short track skaters
• Club registration for fall and/or winter speed skating programs

Please bring your own helmet, gloves and skates (hockey, figure or speed skates).  A limited number of speed skates will be available to try on.

This "Try Speed Skating" event is promoting the new speed skating club in south Calgary.  Ice time for this new club has been arranged at Cardel Rec Centre South on Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings from 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.  The club will be accepting new members from the ages of 5 - 15 years. No experience is necessary.
