The Mississippi Enterprise for Technology is pleased to announce the next Lunch & Learn to be held at The Infinity Science Center beginning at 11:30am on September 12, 2017. This event will feature two organizations that can assist you: The Mississippi Polymer Institute and Mississippi State University’s Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems– Extension (CAVS-E).
The Mississippi Polymer Institute, (MPI). A commercially-focused non-profit organization designed to assist companies by providing technical solutions centering on polymeric and other advanced materials. MPI also routinely provides trouble-shooting for manufacturing processes, product development, 3rd party quality investigations, prototype design and creation via 3D printing or extrusion molding, and workforce training. MPI’s mission is simple: To facilitate the growth of technically-oriented businesses in Mississippi. Assistance is provided to anyone from innovators-to-multinational corporations, and readily work to solve your problems.
Mississippi State University’s Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems – Extension (CAVS-E). CAVS provides Professional Development Training Classes (Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Workshops, Lean Manufacturing Certification Workshops), including a variety of One-Day and Two-Day Classes (Financial Fundamentals, Minitab, PFMEA, 8D, SPC, Gage R&R). CAVS-E also provides On-site Technical Assisance Project Support to manufacturers across Mississippi.
CAVS-E is also the MSU Lead on a Two Year EDA Grant Project, entitled “Southeast Mississippi Jobs Accelerator” (SMJA). The project provides training and support activities in 4 areas: Growing Companies, Community Development Planning, Supporting Entrepreneurs, Engaging Strategic Clusters. Highlights of the remaining ‘free’ grant opportunities for eligible participants will be discussed.
The $25.00 registration fee includes lunch.
