DIGITALGLOBE INCORPORATED CORPORATE AND SATELLITE PROGRAM UPDATE
DigitalGlobe Inc. continues to launch and operates a growing constellation of high resolution earth imaging satellites (IKONOS, QuickBird, GeoEye-1, WorldView-1, and WorldView-2 satellite systems).
The DigitalGlobe WorldView-2 (WV2) satellite enables DigitalGlobe to provide half-meter panchromatic resolution and 1.8-meter multispectral resolution (8-bands) imagery to its customers – a capability only available via DigitalGlobe. The unique spectral diversity allows the ability to perform precise multispectral analysis, change detection, bathymetry and other spectral applications in a more robust fashion. DigitalGlobe’s new WorldView-3 (WV3) satellite, launching in 2014, will be the first multi-payload, super-spectral, high-resolution commercial satellite. WV3 includes 30 cm panchromatic resolution, 8 multispectral bands at 1.24 m multispectral resolution, 8 SWIR bands at 3.7m resolution and 12 CAVIS (atmospheric correction) bands.
DigitalGlobe offers its imagery products delivered via traditional offline delivery methods and also via DigitalGlobe’s Cloud/Web Service online access.
In addition, DigitalGlobe’s Analysis Center specializes in producing and delivering a range of value-added analysis offerings derived from our satellite imagery that are tailored to our specific customer needs. DigitalGlobe imagery and value added products/services are designed to support a wide range of projects and science/research applications worldwide. Digital Globe, through its Information Partner Program (IPP) is actively looking for strategic partners who are laser-focused on building applications and services that can harvest the rich information contained within our satellite imagery and deliver it to their customers. Information on how to team with DigitalGlobe in the IPP program will be presented.
