MSET Lunch & Learn 
Sept. 12, 2013

Our presenter for this month's Lunch & Learn will be Dr. Arlen "Ken" Griffey, Stennis Space Center, Chief, Center Services, Facility Planning & Utilization Division. He will discuss the following topics:

   - Quick look at the demographics of SSC workers
   - New and potential customers at the National Center for Critical Processing and Storage (NCCIPS) – estimated new badges
   - New and potential Commercial Space companies at SSC 
   - Update on Navy activities potential and projected
   - Other potential growth at SSC
   - Questions 

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 12th in the Logtown Room of Building 1100.  Lunch and networking begins at 11:30am, with the feature presentation to follow.

MSET resident companies and members of the affiliate program: No charge.

All other guests: $12.00 payable at the door (cash or check)

About the Speaker:

Dr. Arlen “Ken” Griffey – is the Stennis Space Center (SSC) Chief for Center Services, Facility Planning and Utilization Division responsible for 138,800 acres and 1,541 million square feet.  At NASA, Ken has served as the Program Manager for the National Center for Critical Information Processing and Storage (NCCIPS), Deputy Director for Business and Administration for the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC), NSSC Chief Information Officer, and the NASA Agency Enterprise Architect among other assignments.

 Before NASA, Ken led strategic planning, business development, Enterprise Architecture (EA), product development, sales and marketing efforts for Fortune 500 companies and government contractors.  He has more than 30 years industry and government leadership experience with demonstrated results.

 Dr. Griffey earned a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Phoenix, a summa-cum-laude MBA from Brenau University, and a Bachelors degree in Electronics with highest honors from Southern Illinois University.  He is listed in Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges and is a lifetime member of the Phi-Kappa-Phi national honor society.

Dr. Griffey completed the 2010 Leadership Hancock County (Mississippi), the 2011 Gulf Coast Business Council Masters Leadership Program and earned a NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal in 2010 among many other NASA awards.  Ken also has more than 25 military awards and decorations during military service and is an American Mensa member.  He makes his home in Diamondhead, Mississippi on the Gulf Coast with lifetime memberships in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion.
