Awards

Trailblazer Honoree                                                                                            Each March during Women’s History Month Oasis honors local women who have created history by breaking through barriers and shattering glass ceilings. These women have blazed a trail in many different sectors, making the road easier for other women to follow. Trailblazers are honored in recognition of their accomplishments that changed history by paving the way for women. Often trailblazers were one of the first or few women in their field locally at the time of their trailblazing contribution.

Girls Can Do Anything! Honoree
Girls Can Do Anything! Honorees are local trailblazing girls under the age of 18. These girls have made a difference in their schools and community by doing something to pave the way for other young girls to follow.

Unsung Shero Honoree
Women make a difference in all aspects of our community…but some contributions are more thankless than others! Most awards are designed to recognize women’s leadership in the public sphere—their leadership as a business owner, philanthropist, teacher, trailblazer, etc. The Unsung Shero award is designed to honor the behind the scenes contributions women make that help create a better world for us all. This can be what they contribute to their family, work, school or community that is unlikely to be recognized by traditional leadership awards.
