Board Member Series: Connections that Count

While expanding your reach is essential to raising more money, bigger is not always better when it comes to building a prospect pool.  And it’s all too easy to overlook your existing donor base when considering increased revenue potential.  By strategically identifying those who care about, benefit from, or already support your work, you can develop a mission-focused approach to populating your pipeline with future supporters and elevating your current donors to the next level.  You’ll want to ditch the one-size-fits-all approach and get to know what your donors and prospects value, where their interests and your mission intersect, and how they want to make a difference by supporting your organization.  By asking the right people, in the right way, at the right time, for the right need, you’ll set the stage for lasting donor-driven investment.  And you can create a culture of focused philanthropy that resonates throughout your organization.
