Same Mission, Greater Impact
With Glenn Montgomery, Executive Director at Vision Action Network

In this workshop, we will consider the concept of “collective impact” as both a formal model and a conceptual framework for collaboration.  Designed to be an interactive dialogue, participants will walk away inspired to explore how their organizations can more effectively align with partners, stakeholders, and funders to advance their mission.

About the Presenter, Glenn Montgomery:

Glenn joined the Vision Action Network in March of 2015.

Most recently, Glenn was principal of Montgomery & Associates, LLC, where he consulted with public, private, and non-profit organizations to facilitate strategic planning, stakeholder outreach and engagement, policy development, legislative advocacy, and workplace coaching. Among his diverse clientele were the Oregon Economic Development Association, Energy Trust of Oregon, Portland Development Commission, Tucker Maxon School, Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association (OSEIA), and small businesses. Glenn served as Executive Director of OSEIA for 3 ½ years and guided industry stakeholders and supporters towards a shared vision and successful strategy to advance their goals. Prior to establishing his consulting practice, Glenn served as the Sustainable Development Liaison for the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department (now Business Oregon), as a convener and facilitator of public-private partnerships to develop strategies, acquire funding, and launch initiatives in support of a sustainable economy.

Glenn’s strong commitment to social justice was evident early on in his professional career as co-founder and the first Associate Director of JOIN, a Portland non-profit that helps homeless individuals and families transition to permanent housing. He has also held the roles of program manager, lay minister, and volunteer coordinator for St. Vincent de Paul, St. Philip Neri, and Reed College, respectively.
