Michael Simmons, MA

Thomas L. Bolinger, President, Managing Attorney, San Diego.  Mr. Bolinger was born in Fullerton, California. He received his B.A. in 1978 from Point Loma Nazarene University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego in 1984. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1984. In 1978, he was listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and is a member of Phi Delta Lambda Scholastic Honor Society and The San Diego County Bar Association. He has served as Treasurer of the California Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney Association. He is a Certified Specialist, Workers’ Compensation Law, The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

Scott M. Tilley, Secretary, Managing Attorney, San Bernardino.  Mr. Tilley was born in Bellflower, California. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine, in 1996, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of California Los Angeles, in 1999. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2000. He is a Certified Specialist, Workers’ Compensation Law, The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, San Bernardino County Bar Association, and the California Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorneys’ Association.

Michael W. Simmons, MA, Director Risk Management, Riverside Community College District.  Mr. Simmons has been a risk professional for the last 28 years.  Mr. Simmons is currently the Director of Risk Management for the Riverside Community College District.  In this role, Mr. Simmons is responsible for managing the risk management, claims, safety, and security mission for the 5^th largest community college district in California.  In his career, he has served in several risk management, safety, and claims management capacities in the restaurant, retail, and insurance industries.  His more notable past employers include The Automobile Club of Southern California, American Stores, Inc., Albertsons, Inc. and Lowes Home Improvement Warehouse and El Pollo Loco, Inc.

Mr. Simmons is a Doctoral Candidate in his second year of residency.  He holds a Masters degree in Organizational Management and a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management.  He is also the current President and co-founder of the Foodservice Industry Risk Management Association (FIRMA) with over 1,300 members.
