FOOD/BACK-TO-SCHOOL DRIVE

OCRIMS' Community Outreach Committee is holding Food/Back-to-School supplies drive to benefit the Orangewood Children's Foundation, during our June and July luncheon meetings.

Please bring non-perishable food items and back-to-school supplies, such as:

Pasta, Boxed Foods, Cereal, Canned Foods,  Canned and Boxed Juices, Peanut Butter, Snack Bars

Pencils, Pens, Paper,Crayons, Erasers, Calculators, Pencil Sharpeners, Backpacks, Highlighters, Index Cards, Scissors, Glue, Hand Sanitizers, Tissue boxes, Dry-Erase markers.

Darin J. McMullen is of counsel in the Philadelphia office of Anderson Kill. Mr. McMullen’s practice isconcentrated in representing policyholders in the area of insurance recovery. He is also a memberof Anderson Kill's Financial Services Industry Group.

Mr. McMullen represents policyholders in a wide variety of coverage matters including property loss,business interruption claims, bad faith claims, EPLI insurance coverage, D&O and E&O claims, as well as construction-related coverage disputes. Mr. McMullen's clients include large international companies as well as privately held businesses engaged in a variety of industries including manufacturing, hospitality, biotech, and construction. Mr. McMullen has also been extensively involved with insurance recovery efforts following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and, as a result, has served on the American Bar Association's Task Force on Disaster Insurance Coverage.

In addition to his insurance coverage practice, Mr. McMullen also has a broad commercial andemployment litigation background as well as providing clients with employment advice. Mr.McMullen has trial experience in Federal and State Courts and also has been involved in numerous alternative dispute resolution efforts, including arbitration and mediation.

David P. Mr. Bender has represented numerous private and public entities in coverage disputes againstinsurance carriers and joint powers agencies. He recently won a binding arbitration hearing againstthe London and Bermuda reinsurance markets on a significant coverage dispute involving the 2003California wildfires. He has collected millions of dollars from carriers on behalf of policyholdersincluding $25 million in policy limits on behalf of a major retailer. He also represents two major California municipalities in separate challenges regarding policy benefits, one of which arises under comprehensive litigation involving a city's affordable housing program. Before forming Wood &Bender, with David Wood, Mr. Bender was a partner in the Los Angeles office of Epstein, Becker & Green.

Speaking Engagements

Mr. Bender is a frequent speaker on insurance policy enforcement matters at regional meetings ofACC (Association of Corporate Counsel) and RIMS (Risk & Insurance Management Society). Mr.Bender has also spoken at the Mealey's Insurance Litigation 101 Conference Series.
