2015 Business Analyst Development Day

Friday, August 21, 2015

Austin Texas Business Analyst Development Day - ATX BADD is an annual educational and networking conference for business analysis professionals in the Austin area and across Texas. Attendees can earn CDUs for participating in the various presentation and working sessions scheduled throughout the day.

This year we are honored and excited to have Kevin Brennan, curator of IIBA's Business Analyst Body of Knowledge, as our keynote speaker.

Kevin Brennan, CBAP, PMP, is a Business Architect at Seilevel. As prior Vice President of the International Institution of Business Analysts (IIBA), he led the development of Version 2.0 of The Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) and was also one of the authors of the CBAP exam. Kevin has over a decade of experience as a business analyst and project manager across several industry sectors, including regulated professions, utilities, automobile manufacturing, courier services, and mortgage banking. Some of his background includes:

  • Ran a five-year program to build bridges between the agile and business analysis communities that culminated with a joint project with the Agile Alliance to develop the Agile Extension
  • Developed and presented on agile business analysis at Agile2008, IBM Innovate, and at IIBA chapters around the world, including a series of workshops across Australia
  • Acted as Product Owner on a Scrum team building a billing and transaction application for an energy company
  • Keynote speaker at conferences on 5 different continents
  • Led the development of the global standard for business analysis, the BABOK Guide, used by hundreds of thousands of BAs and hundreds of organizations worldwide
  • Developed new products and services that more than doubled IIBA’s membership and drove dramatic increases in customer satisfaction
