Cheryl Keilson Celebration of Life

Please email your favorite picture of Cheryl to Angie@oswegochamber.org so we can create a photo board.  Join us for light appetizers, cash bar and memories of Cheryl.

“A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered” Everyone who knew Cheryl knew of her passion for volunteering and helping others. Cheryl has served on the board of The Inspiring Women of Oswego for many years. IWO has been working with a local family in our community, their 8 year old son is in need of a liver transplant.

In honor of Cheryl's memory and her work with the Inspiring Women Committee that she served on, we would like to help a young boy in Oswego that is needing a liver transplant.  Cheryl was one of the biggest advocates for kids through her work at the Park District and the kids programs she helped developed.  This would be a wonderful way to pay tribute to Cheryl and help out a child in need in our own community.

We would like to raise $5000 to help Jaxson's family with medical expenses as they await a liver transplant."    From the blog:

We found out in the next year to 2 years that Jaxon will need a liver transplant.
Unfortunately, in the last few months the effects of a liver that doesn’t work the way it should are starting to show. Jaxon is a lot more tired than normal, forgetful and he’s experiencing pain on a daily basis; AND he’s mad...he’s so mad that this disease is slowing him down. He’s used to living his life to the fullest and gets angry when he has to slow down because he’s in pain. I get it.
Transplant is a terrifying reality. We found out that the average cost of a transplant is over $5,000,000. That’s enough to bankrupt any family. The reality is that Jaxon will need a new kidney at some point too and transplanted organs don’t last forever, meaning multiple transplants are in his future.
