Lunch with the Lincolns

The Hinsdale Historical Society invites you to its third annual children's program, Lunch with the Lincolns on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Hinsdale Historical Society's Immanuel Hall. The program is best suited for children ages Kindergarten through Grade 3.

Attendees will hear from President Lincoln as he reminisces about growing up in a log cabin and explains how he got his beard and why he wears such a tall hat. Mrs. Lincoln will explain why her dress stands out so wide from her waist. After the talk, the children will have a pizza lunch with the "First Couple", have an opportunity to have their pictures taken with the President and First Lady  and enjoy a craft.

Max and Donna Daniels of West Suburban Wheaton, Illinois have been portraying Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln since 1988. They are popular attractions at Civil War reenactments throughout the Midwest and make over 200 appearances each year at metropolitan Chicago area schools.

The cost of this interactive, drop-off program is $18 for members and $20 for non-members.
