Amtrak Roundtable & Meetings on Capitol Hill

All Railway Supply Institute members are invited to attend RSI’s annual Roundtable Meeting with Amtrak President & CEO Joseph Boardman and his Executive Staff on Thursday, May 23rd from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Amtrak’s headquarters in Washington DC.

Amtrak meeting discussion topics will include the state of the railroad, an update on Amtrak’s current and projected capital expenditures, Next Generation Equipment Committee and Amtrak’s Fiscal Year 2014 Grant and Legislative Request.  Members will also have the opportunity to question Mr. Boardman and his senior staff on Amtrak-related issues. Lunch will be served.

After the Amtrak meeting, attendees are invited to attend meetings on Capitol Hill with Congressional Appropriators to discuss funding of federal rail programs (high speed and intercity passenger rail, TIGER, RRIF, FRA R&D etc.) and its impact on the railway supply industry.  All RSI members involved in the passenger rail industry are encouraged to attend and discuss why funding these rail programs are important to your company and our nation’s economy.
