You are invited to participate in our 3rd Annual Legislative Day!

HOI's goal is to raise awareness for bleeding disorders.   Our goal is to make bleeding disorders known among legislators.  We will be talking to legilators about Step Therapy and how that could impact our community and other topics that are being finalized.

9:00 am  Arrival at Embassy Suites, Des Moines

9:30         Legislative Advocacy Speaker(s)

10:30       Role Play to prepare for meetings with Legislators

11:00       Lunch

11:30       Departure for Capitol / Group Photo at Capital

Noon       Meetings with Legislators Begin

HOI will provide lunch to all attendees.  Parking vouchers will be given to all 2017 HOI Members that attend.  If possible we do ask that attendees become members prior to this venue.  It is important for our organization to report we have 100% of attendees are members of our organization.  Membership can be found online at www.hemophiliaofiowa.org. 

Following the Legislative meetings, HOI will have a de-briefing session at a specific location for input and time to survey our members in attendance on the visits that took place, provide follow-up to the Advocacy Committee and what must happen post-event.
