Join the Washington County Museum at Plum Hill Vineyards for an evening of wine tasting and a lively history talk by authors Ken & Kris Bilderback, who will discuss how alcohol has played a central role in the Tualatin Valley since American settlers first arrived in the area in the 1830s.
In 1914, Oregon voted to implement Prohibition; leading to the arrest of the Washington County Sheriff. A string of vandalisms, kidnappings, and murders followed. Wine & spirits are now one of Washington County’s major industries.
