People Helping People Awards Breakfast

The Friendship Centers is pleased to announce the second annual “People Helping People” awards breakfast on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 8:30 am at Michael’s on East in Sarasota.

This special event will honor champions in our community who are doing so much to benefit older adults. The honorees exemplify “People Helping People,” the principle on which Brother William Geenen founded the Friendship Centers more than 40 years ago.

All monies benefit the Sarasota Campus of Friendship Centers.

Visionary Award
Bob & Diane Roskamp, the Roskamp Foundation and Roskamp Institute

Life Changer Award
Bruce Robinson, MD, Retired Chief of Geriatrics and the Memory Disorder Clinic at Sarasota Memorial

Hidden Gem Award
Phil Delaney, Vice Chairman, Florida, Northern Trust

Bob Carter Senior Advocacy Award
Pam Baron, Director of Senior Services, JFCS and posthumously to Doug Heinlen, Friendship Centers board member and three-term State President of AARP

Event Committee
The chair of the event is Michael Juceam, owner of Right at Home Sarasota County. Committee members include: Nancy Claridge, Sonya Davis, Amanda Cattaneo, Marlene Hauck, Linda Joffe, Joan Levenson, Kevin Maisch, Dr. Gloria Schranz and Gail Welch.
