Designing Healthy, Livable Communities

How could better designed communities and transportation choices enable physical activity and improve both our physical and mental health?

Join us on June 21 and find out when City Club, Building a Better Bend, Commute Options, 1000 Friends of Oregon and the Oregon Chapter of American planning Association proudly presents Dr. Richard Jackson, MD, MPH, Chair of Environmental Health Sciences at UCLA.

On June 21, Dr. Richard Jackson will discuss the link between our health and the way our communities — especially our suburbs — are designed. For the first time in two centuries, children today face shorter life expectancies than their parents due to unhealthy lifestyles.  It doesn’t have to be this way!
