Expand your business! Become qualified as a Tree Risk Assessment professional. This TRAQ class and exam is open to all interested parties who meet the qualifications and is limited to 40 arborists (first-come/first-served). The qualification consists of a 2-day educational course followed by a ½ day assessment that includes both a written and field component. It is required that you attend the entire course and successfully complete the assessment in order to receive this qualification.
In order to register at the Member Price you MUST be a member of Florida Chapter ISA and/or ISA International. All prerequisites for registering will be reviewed and your registration will be finalized via email.
Registration opens at noon on Friday September 30; registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis. Space is limited to 40 people. Registration will close on Thursday November 3, 2016 (or when filled); a waiting list will be kept if the registration becomes filled.
Included in your registration:
- course registration
- exam fee
- the TRAQ manual and workbook
- coffee and breakfast items for all 3 days
- lunch, beverages and snacks for instructional days (Thursday and Friday)
Travel and lodging is on your own.
What is required to bring to the class:
- your government issued photo ID
- your TRAQ Manual and Workbook (will be shipped mid-November to the address you provide)
- your hard hat and high visiblity vest or shirt
- #2 pencils and clipboard for taking notes and completing worksheets
- rain gear, including a large ziplock bag (just in case!)
- come prepared to spend part of the day outdoors
- please dress for your comfort level indoors and outdoors;
we cannot always control the room temperature to suit everyone

An Overview:
You will have the privilege of learning Tree Risk Assessment from Norm Easey and Skip Kincaid, two of the committee members who helped create and fine tune this ISA Qualification. You will benefit from their thorough presentation of the Tree Assessment Manual accompanied with workbook activities. Indoor instruction will be followed-up with hands-on outdoor demonstrations that will walk you through the skills you need to know to become a knowledgeable Tree Risk Assessor. The 2-day class will conclude with the exam on the 3rd day. You will learn:
