University of Florida
Never be intimidated by tree ID again; learn to use leaf, flower and twig keys.

 9:30 – 10:30
INDOOR SESSION: Introduced Species and Their Suitable Uses in Florida Landscapes
Dr. Michael Orfanedes, Horticulture Agent, UF-IFAS Broward County

In this session you will learn about introduced tree species recommended for South Florida.

 10:30 – 10:45 
Break: Divide into 3 groups and move outside


10:45 – 12:00
OUTDOOR SESSION: Tree ID Tour
Each small group will attend a Tree ID tour in the Garden guided by one of the instructors.

Lunch (provided - Shortie's BBQ)
*Optional Guided Tram Tour of Fairchild Gardens with a box/sandwich lunch - No additional charge but registration is required - you MUST mark your registration if you plan to attend this tour.

In this session you will learn about native tree species recommended for South Florida.
