IIBA Seattle Chapter Event - Nicole Gersper - Building a Business Analyst Community 

The term business analyst can mean a variety of things to a variety of people and can be fastly different at different organizations. In fact it can be vastly different within the same organization and people can have a variety of titles. During this session Nicole will help with understanding what a business analyst community can be to understand the different roles across the organization, as well as providing some tools and techniques on how to build a Business Analyst Community within your organization.

• What is a Business Analyst Community?
• What is the difference between: 
     • Business Analyst community,
     • Business Analyst center of excellence,
• Why would a community be beneficial to my organization?
• How do you bring the community together?
• What types of activities should the community get involved in?
• What are some lessons learned from past experiences?

Nicole Gersper is the Seattle chapter VP of Programs and Principal Business Systems Analyst at T-Mobile. Nicole received her CBAP in 2009 and her PMP in 2014. Nicole has approximately 15 years experience as an Business Analyst, has experience building business analysis organizations in a variety of sizes of companies from small start up's to large national organizations.  Nicole has a passion around understanding how the role of an analyst is different across organizations and helping analyts to build their current skills and is an strong believer in continuing education in a variety of methods.
