Blessed Rosalie Rendu
Formation Day

Part II: The Home Visit

"Serve well those who are poor and always address them
with much kindess.  Remember that our Lord is hidden behind those rags!"
- Bl. Rosalie Rendu

Bl. Rosalie Rendu was an extraordinary woman with great energy, creativity, fidelity and courage. If she has something to say to the men and women of today, it is precisely because of the person she became by the grace of God and by her response to that grace. It is in that example that we will honor her name in our formation day.

The central and most fundamental activity of the Conferences has been the visitation of our neighbors in their homes.  This action is the clearest symbol of the Vincentian charism which dictates the highest respect for the dignity of the poor.  It is in the home environment that persons in need feel most free to entrust their stories of struggle.  For this reason, we have decided to offer a second Bl. Rosalie Rendu Formation Day with an agenda that is oriented around this significant interation.
