Directions
For easy access, exit Hwy 168 at Shaw Avenue. Travel west on Shaw Avenue to Chestnut and turn north. Turn west (left) on Barstow. The Viticulture & Enology facilities are on the north side of the street, surrounded by the Fresno State Vineyards.
Parking: Grape Day participants may park in any yellow or green parking lot on the Fresno State campus with a coutresy parking code. This courtesy code and instructions will be provided to all registrants prior to the event via email. Parking in lots P16 (formerly O), P18 (formerly N) or P20 (formerly Q), all off Barstow Avenue, are recommended with courtesy code. Without a courtesy code, parking on the Fresno State campus is $3 per vehicle.

EVENT DETAILS
Registration and refreshments will begin at 6:45 am on August 5 on the shady lawn and gazebo area, west of the Viticulture and Enology Building on Barstow Avenue, between Cedar and Maple Avenues.
The program will begin at 7:00 am with vineyard tours and presentations and tours of the laboratories and newly remodeled V. E. Petrucci Library.
By mid-morning, attendees will be transported to the Satellite Student Union on campus for a keynote address that will be include educational wine samples for attendees 21 and over, refreshments, a poster session, several oral presentations, and lunch sponsored by the American Vineyard Magazine.
For vineyard presentations, we recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen. Outdoor water stations will be available.

Plan to spend the morning with us at Fresno State on August 5 at Grape Day, an informal field day and morning workshop designed for grape growers, managers, PCA's, winemakers, and winery personnel.
This half-day event is held every other year on the Fresno State campus and includes practical field and equipment presentations, and indoor oral and poster presentations on current grape and wine issues by faculty, staff, industry guests, and graduate student researchers.
This year our keynote speaker Jamal Rayyis, a U.S. correspondent and wine critic, will take a look at the history of the grape and wine industry in the Central Valley, examine present trends, and share perspectives on the future wth an eye on possible parallels to other regions of the world.
Tours of our unique vineyard, laboratory and library facilities, refreshments, and lunch are included in the affordable registration fee. Lunch is sponsored by American Vineyard Magazine.
