Independent physician practices are no different than any other business and require succession planning in order to monetize the value of the practice.  

Physician practice owners can be overwhelmed with the day-to-day requirements of their practices and lose sight of the need to create an exit strategy for their practice through sale, merger, partner admittance or simply retirement.   

Determining the value of your practice can differ based on the intent of a proposed transaction.  

This session will focus on the methods used to value practices, including:

• Basic valuation methods
• Practical examples of practice valuations
• Effects of current challenges in healthcare including reimbursement, regulation, technology and competition  
• Discussion of practice goodwill and how it is addressed in different valuation scenarios
