Connecting Local Food & Healthy Activity!

Bog Jog 5k Run/Walk: Run or walk through the A.D. Makepeace property and bogs.  Run through wooded trails, break in and out of the dense forest into the sunshine, around a bog and then back into the tree-covered trail. Adult registration is $25 and includes your ticket to the Picnic Lunch and Seafood Throwdown!

The Veggie Stampede!  A short-distance run and obstacle course on the grass for children ages 4 to 9. Each Veggie Stampede runner will get his/her own Veggie Stampede race shirt as well as a drawstring backpack! Registration per child is $15 (includes lunch!).

Local Food Picnic & Seafood Throwdown: All runners/walkers - and non-runners, too! - are invited to enjoy a post-race local food picnic lunch and to watch a Seafood Throwdown competition! Bring a picnic blanket and your own plates and cutlery and dig in to a picnic lunch prepared with locally-sourced produce by chef Rosa Galeno. And locally-caught seafood will take the spotlight in our Seafood Throwdown - in partnership with Northwest Atlantic Marine Alliance (NAMA). The event will put two local chefs against each other to create a dish using seafood from MA waters and three guest judges will decide whose is best!

Tickets for the picnic: $10
