Chicago Youth Orchestra

Chicago's string ensemble for northside young artists.

The string ensemble is for the advancing intermediate string player ready to begin an ensemble experience. Being a member of the ensemble will enhance note recognition and sight reading, provide experience with conductors and learning to be a part of an ensemble rather than a soloist, all while learning new and exciting repertoire. There is space for Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass and Harp in the ensemble. 

Weekly rehearsals are Thursday afternoons from 4:30 to 5:30

Location: Via Zoom until deemed safe to meet in person, then we will resume rehearsals at Queen of Angels Parish Center, located at 4412 N. Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625

Tuition for Spring semester is $250 plus a materials fee of $25. 

Young artists are required to have a working knowledge of their instrument and be able to efficiently read music.

Dates: February 4th - May 13th

No class on April 1 and April 8.
