Holiday Stories and Song Class

By popular demand, we are offering this bridge class between our Fall and Winter Group Class Sessions. We will focus on music appreciation and instrument exploration, featuring Mozart's Die Zauberflote (The Magic Flute), and discuss the story, characters and costumes, as well as have musical explorations of orchestral instruments including unusual ones like Papageno's Glockenspiel, or vocal ranges including the coloratura soprano of the Queen of the Night's Aria.

The Thursday Step into Piano Kindergarten and 1st Grade sessions will additionally teach the holiday piano tunes "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer." We will reinforce primer concepts of piano playing like note & rhythm recognition on the keys and on the sheet music within this seasonal context.

Class Session, Days and Times:

Session Dates: November 27 - December 20

Tuesdays: - 3:15 - 3:45 - Preschool Ages

Wednesdays - 11:15 - 11:45 - Preschool Ages

Thursdays - 3:15 - 3:45 - Kindergarten and 1st Grade. CLASS IS CLOSED

Students will be picked up from their classrooms and taken directly to the music room for class. Parents and caregivers can pick up their children following class or the children can be taken to extended care by Musical Chairs

Minimum 4 children per class to run each class. If there are not enough children for a particular class, we will work to combine classes to avoid cancelation.
