CHAPTER CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 

Join the first leg of the largest women's amateur golf tournament in the country.  This year's competition will be held at the Sycuan Golf Resort in El Cajon on the Willow Glen Course.  For the first time, the event will be held on a Saturday with a 1pm shotgun.  The date is June 7th.  Sycuan is our largest sponsor and due to their generosity we are able to subsidize  your particpation fees and charge only $63 including golf and hearty hors d'oeurves following the competition.

All skill levels are welcome-it's not just for low handicappers.  Whether you are a seasoned golfer or new to the game, the Chapter Championship provides a venue to experience competitive golf among friends and in the spirit of fun.

NOTE:  In addition to registering the Chapter Tournament Fee, you will also need to register at www.ewgachampionship.com and pay the national fee of $35.  This registration process asks for the yardage from which you normally play to establish your handicap.  For the majority of EWGA SD members, this is 5200-5400 yards.

Registration deadline is May 20th - No exceptions.

This competition is open to members with a handicap index between 0.0 and 40.4.  All competitors must be members in good standing and have posted at least 2 18-hole rounds in the current year  before completing your registration.

Practice rounds will be available on May 31st and June 1st (see separate registration link) or you may practice on your own.

Individual Stroke Play: competition will be conducted on both a gross and net score basis, and is flighted as follows:  See Championship-Participant Information-Stroke Play in the Player Documents tab of the national website note above.

    First Flight                     12.1-19.0

    Second Flight                19.1-25.0

    Third Flight                     25.1-32.0

    Fourth Flight                   32.1-40.4

Scramble Teams consist of 4 members and must use a Team Computation Factor as follows.  The positive and negative total handicaps of the team must fall between +2 and -5.  Only 1 member of the team may have a handicap index of 12.0 or less.  See Championship-Participant Information-Scramble in the Player Documents tab in the national website noted above.

 This is a NET only competition.  The Team Computation Factor is added to or subtracted from the team's gross score and the lowest NET score for a team is the winning team.
