ROAM FROM HOME 2014 

Our 2nd annual Roam from Home is all arranged and ready for registration. It's so hard to choose from the many courses the desert has to offer but following are this year's choices:

SATURDAY, MAY 3rd, DESERT WILLOW, the MOUNTAIN VIEW COURSE.  Our shotgun begins at 12:35. This was rated in the top 50 courses in the U.S. for women by Golf Digest. This resort type course has relatively wide fairways and limited desert waste areas. Somewhat forgiving fairways, 98 well-placed bunkers, sloping greens and 7 water features require golfers to incorporate their best course management skills. But don't be intimidated-it really is user friendly.  The fee is $75 for members and $80.00 for guests.

SUNDAY, MAY 4th, RANCHO MIRAGE COUNTRY CLUB. Our shotgun begins at 8am. This course features rolling terrain and narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens. Water hazards come into play on (only) 6 holes. The surrounding mountains provide some of the most breathtaking vistas in the valley. This course was re-designed by Robert Muir Graves in 1989. The $60 fee for members ($65 for guests) includes lunch following the round.

RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT in Palm Desert.  Once again we have a block of rooms for Saturday night.  They offer a choice of 2 room types (there are limited numbers of each):                                                                                                                    2 bedroom 2 bath suites with a queen bed in each room for $169 per night.  OR           2 bedroom 2 bath deluxe suites with a queen in one room and 2 doubles in the other for $179 per night.  Any unreserved rooms will be released back into inventory on April 2nd so you should book ASAP.  Call 1-888-236-2427 and tell them you are reserving a room in the EWGA Golf Event block.
