Media Outreach Essentials: A Workshop to Help You Put Mediation in the Media
Reaching out to "the media" can feel intimidating. Especially when you're new to doing media outreach, it can be hard to know who is the right person to contact at a news outlet, or what the right thing is to say in pitching a story.
But really, "the media" are just people in your community who tell stories for a living and are always looking for local angles on issues and people who can speak about them. As mediators, you're already experts in your field and are well-equipped with speaking clearly and directly. You're just who they're looking for! With the right tools, you can be very successful in reaching out to the media and engaging this important method of getting the word out about how mediation can help people.
This 75-minute webinar is designed for absolute beginners, but will have some useful tips for even the seasoned media spokesperson.
