Please bring chess clocks if you have them.

Awards:
Trophies to the top three finishers in each section. Medals to others with plus scores.
- The tournament will be NWSRS rated. No prior NWSRS rating or tournament experience is required. Latest NWSRS ratings will be used for pairings.
- 100% Pre-registration event. No on-site registrations accepted.
- Entry deadline is 11:59 pm PST, Wednesday, 1/27/2016. No late registrations will be accepted.
- Ties will be broken by computer only (Tie break order- Solkoff, Cumulative, Opponent’s cumulative).
- Pizza orders will be taken at check-in and pizza will arrive around noon.
- Upper sections please bring clocks and notation sheets. (Boards and sets provided for all sections.)
Sections
The field will be divided into 4 sections at the following approximate ratings. We stress that these section breaks are estimates and may be rearranged if necessary to ensure even numbers and adequately sized sections.
1200+: Four rounds. G/45 +10sec delay. Clocks and notation required. Round times: 9am, 10:45am, 12:30pm, and 2:15pm.
U1200: Four rounds. G/45 +10sec delay. Clocks and notation required. Round times: 9am, 10:45am, 12:30pm, and 2:15pm.
U900: Five rounds. G/30. Notation recommended. Round times: 9am, 10:15am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:15pm.
U600: Five rounds. G/30. Round times: 9am, 10:15am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:15pm.
Unrated players join the section based on their grade level times 100, e.g., 4th-grade x 100 = 400.
