REGISTRATION FEE: $15 by March 5th (Family Discount – $10 for second player)
LATE REGISTRATION: $25 after March 5th (no family discount)
Registration Cutoff will be at the organizer's discretion.

REGISTER ONLINE at www.oscf.org or email April Albers (april@albersfamily.org) with player name, rating, age, and section. (Cash only will be accepted for registration fees paid on-site.)
Sections: All K-12 players welcome!
Knights: NWSRS < 700, grades K-3
5 rounds, G/30 min. Clocks will be used only if both players agree or if the tournament director assigns a clock.
Bishops: NWSRS < 700, grades 4-8
5 rounds, G/30. Clocks will be used only if both players agree or if the tournament director assigns a clock. Notation encouraged but not required.
Rooks: NWSRS < 1000
5 rounds, G/30. NOTATION HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. CLOCKS ARE REQUIRED PLAYERS MUST BRING THEIR OWN CLOCK.
Kings: NWSRS Over 1000
4 rounds, G/45. Players with NWSRS rating 1000+ play in the open section, but lower rated players are also welcome. NOTATION AND CLOCKS ARE REQUIRED. PLAYERS MUST BRING THEIR OWN CLOCK.
Players in each section will be divided into additional playing sections based on age and experience. Sections may be split, combined, or adjusted depending on registrations. For example, the Knights section may be split into separate playing groups based on age and experience.
AWARDS:
Trophies for top 4 finishers in each section.
"Good Sportsmanship" in each section.
Awards for players receiving a plus score but finish outside of top 4.
SCHEDULE:
Kings: Check-in 8:45-9:15. Play will start at 9:30am SHARP!! Players not checked in by 9:15 will receive 0 points for each round missed. For Kings and Rooks Section please be aware that long time controls could leave you with long breaks between matches. It will be up to you to eat lunch or a healthy snack during these breaks. Awards at approximately 4:30pm.
Rooks, Bishops and Knights: Check-in closes at 9:40. Play will start at 10:00am. Latecomers will receive 0 points for each round missed. Lunch break from 12:00-12:30. Awards at approximately 3:30pm.
All Standard USCF rules apply.
Please remember to keep personal belongs safe! Parents are responsible for their children. Children under Age 12 must be supervised by an adult.
CONCESSION BOOTH WILL BE OPEN! We will have ample food, snacks, and beverages for sale from 9am-1pm. Pizza will be sold by the slice ($2.00) by PRE-ORDER ONLY. If interested in ordering pizza, email april@albersfamily.org with the number slices and type desired (cheese, pepperoni, or Hawaiian) or place your pizza order when you register online.
