Service Teams
Evangelism & Follow up Teams // AM & PM
Teams of 2-3 people will go door-to-door with the intention of engaging in direct evangelism through relational conversation and handing out bibles.
Service Project Teams // AM & PM // Led by Brad Wreyford
These teams will minister to residents of the community and small churches through yard work, home repair, and general construction & cleanup.
Encourager Teams // PM // Led by Stephanie Treadway & Margaret Coulter
Purposed to minister and show the love of Christ in practical ways, these teamsbring hope, encouragement, and help to individuals and organizations in the community. Target groups include the homeless, foster care and adoption families and organizations, recovery ministries, and faith-based non-profit organizations.
Meal Team // AM // Led by Bob Goodman
Bob’s team provides dinner for all MHS volunteers and their families each morning at Hot Springs Baptist. Responsibilities include preparation, cooking, serving and clean-up Monday-Friday.
Nursing Home Teams // AM // Led by Monette Allen
This team visits multiple nursing homes throughout the week and begins with a time of worship, followed by an activity and fellowship with the residents. Volunteers will have time to visit, encourage, and share the love of Jesus with individuals and small groups.
Prayer Teams // AM & PM
Prayer teams intentionally and specifically pray for comminities where various eventswill be held as well as the workers and all involved. Prayer walks and other prayer activitiesserve to ensure that every aspect of this outreach is covered in prayer.
Block Party Teams // PM // Led by Jake & Sarah Bird
These teams will plan and host family-oriented activities and worship experiences at multiple locations in the community. There will also be a Vacation Bible School for kids in Garland county.
Sports Camp Teams // Saturday, 6/25, AM // Led by Wallace Yamauchi
This team will hold a one day sports camp at multiple locations. Teams will teach the fundamentals of basketball and potentially other sports while also sharing the Gospel message. Camps are intended as a precursor to block parties the following week.
City/County Appreciation Lunch
Friday, July 1st 11:00-1:00, Led by Kevin McCain
This luncheon will be held at the Transportation Depot for all city and county employeesas a way to show our appreciation for a job well done. Volunteers will transport tablesand chairs, cook, serve, clean up, etc.
