SF Moves

A unique 3 day dance workshop in San Francisco with professional dancers from some of the top companies around the world.  From learning repertory excerpts, introducing dance languages (Ohad Naharin's Gaga), and experimenting with movement creation and improvisational techniques, this workshop will feed and inspire the participant's mind & body for months to come.

Artistic Faculty

Bret Easterling, from Palo Alto, CA, received his BFA from Juilliard in 2010 along with the Hector Zaraspe Award for Choreography.  He was a member of Gallim Dance in NY before moving to Tel Aviv to join the Batsheva Ensemble.  He is now a member of the Batsheva Dance Company as well as the Artistic Director of The Bret Easterling Movement.

Stephanie Amurao was born in Vancouver, BC, where she trained at The Richmond Academy of Dance.  She graduated from The Juilliard School in 2010 before joining Bern:Ballett in Switzerland under the direction of Cathy Marston.  Stephanie most recently joined the Batsheva Dance Company in 2012.

Donald Borror, a native of Columbus, Ohio, has trained with The Martha Graham School, The Joffrey Ballet School, and was awarded a DAAD grant to study at the Palucca Schule in Dresden, Germany. He worked with Buglisi Dance Theatre and Sidra Bell Dance NY before graduating from Juilliard with a BFA and the Martha Hill Prize in 2010.  He has danced with NYC-based Ballet Hispanico for three seasons and will be attending Columbia University in the fall to get his MA in Arts Administration.

Julia Eichten, born and raised in Minnesota, attended and graduated from The Juilliard School with the Hector Zaraspe Award for Choreography in 2011. Professionally, Julia has worked with Camille A. Brown and Aszure Barton & Artists. Julia is currently based in Los Angeles where she is pleased to be dancing for Benjamin Millipied's company LA Dance Project.

Anthony Lomuljo was born in Mountain View, California and trained at The Juilliard School, receiving his BFA in 2010. Prior to joining The Göteborg Ballet in 2010, Lomuljo performed with Sidra Bell Dance NY and Zhukov Dance Theater.  He currently is working at The Royal Swedish Ballet as a second-soloist participating in both classical and contemporary works.

Spenser Theberge, born in Portland, Oregon, received his BFA from The Juilliard School in 2009, and is currently in his 4th year as a member of Nederlands Dans Theater.  He is both a Presidential Scholar in the Arts and a Princess Grace Award winner.
