Wooden Boat Week's Over-The-Bottom
The Tahoe Yacht Club invites the Concours d’Elegance participants to join our members in an OTB race held during our Summer Series. This special event to be held on Monday, August 10th; starting on the water, off Obexer’s (at 8:30am) and ending of the Tahoe City Marina. There will be a separate start for wooden boats first, with Tahoe Yacht Club and other fiberglass boats running the same course, but in a separate division. Boat participants will pay a race fee of $35.Awards for winners in each of the two groups will be presented back at the TYC clubhouse during a light brunch celebrationat 10:30am that will include a Bloody Mary bar, directly following the race. Captains and crew will contribute $20 per person either online at the attached link, or at the door for brunch.
We are working to secure special docking in the TC Marina inside the break wall for the Wooden Boat participants; and create space for others at the adjacent pier (dependent of water levels). Special trophies for each of the two divisions will add to the fun and rewards of club member participation, and our goal is to present awards at 11:30am to allow for commitments you may have on Monday afternoon.
