In just over 2 years, BE GREAT has raised over $100,000.  Our impact is real: we’ve funded a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator at Children’s National (our first step in establishing the Center for Diagnostic Immunology & Transplantation), we’ve donated 25 Cord Blood Collection Kits to Be The Match®, and have held 12 Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Family Orientation sessions helping immunology, sickle cell and cancer families prepare for  BMT.

Your support makes this happen!  President and Co-Founder Alison Thien Plotas and her husband Pete will be at the Rooftop Event and look forward to seeing friends of BE GREAT both new and long time supporters!

BE GREAT Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity, with every donation going toward enabling advancements in curative treatments for children with immune deficiency.  Founded in November 2011 by Alison and Pete Plotas, BE GREAT is dedicated to their son Alexander James Plotas who died in  2011 at 13 months of age due to respiratory complication from a severe form of immune deficiency, after a successful bone marrow transplant.  BE GREAT is committed to improving the lives and medical outcomes of children with immune deficiency.
