Unfortunately, beneficiaries often receive no or incorrect information on the impact of work, including how to report their wages to the Social Security Administration (SSA) and other programs or services that may be available to them. Several months down the road, the beneficiary finds him or herself in a situation that is often the biggest disincentive for keeping a job – overpayment. The fear of losing the benefit, for many, often outweighs the benefits of working. This outcome isn't positive for your program or your client.
