Course Outline

The advancements in biologics and gene therapy have made tissue regeneration possible in medicine and dentistry. Bone and soft tissue regeneration is already commonplace in oral and periodontal surgery. Endodontic regeneration is now in the horizon. This presentation will focus on the current state of regenerative endodontics, where we are, and where we need to be.  The advantages of pulpal regeneration will be compared and contrasted to conventional therapy. The necessary components of pulpal regeneration will also be presented, particularly in permanent immature teeth.

Upon completion of this presentation the participants will:

  • Be aware of the current state of regenerative endodontics
  • Understand the benefits of regenerative endodontics over conventional therapy
