About the Presenters:
Matt Maurer
Matt is providing business-planning support to small farm operators through one-on-one sessions and workshop trainings. Matt helped establish his family's pistachio farm and owns Redwood Valley Nut Company, which sells organically grown pistachios, almond, and walnuts.
Paula Gaska
Paula coordinates the Strengthening CSAs Program at West Company and consults one-on-one with West Company clients. She co-owns and operates Mendocino Organics, managing the accounting and bookkeeping for her growing farm. Paula has presented workshops at the annual EcoFarm Conference, National Heirlom Expo, and the National Biodynamic Conference.
West Company is offering free business development services for Mendocino County farmers through the Strengthening CSAs by Building Capacity and Expanding Markets Project. Funding for this project comes from the USDA Farmers Market Promotion Program. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.
