Behind the scenes at Chasing Classic Cars

Your programs team has a great meeting lined up for you in August. I’m sure you’ve all seen the show “Chasing Classic Cars” on Velocity at least once over the past eight years that it has been broadcast. And you’ve probably wondered;

“Did that barn find really happen like that?”

“How much did they pay for that car?”

 “What was the coolest find they have ever encountered?”

Well the answer to those questions and many others will be fielded by our August monthly meeting speaker, fellow CVR member Jim Astrausky. In addition to being a Porsche owner, Jim is also the producer of CCC and will be on hand to give us an overview on what has happened “behind the scenes” over the 150 episodes that he has been involved with. Jim has been with the show since day one and takes part in all facets of production so it will be fascinating to hear how this entertaining show is put together and some of the history surrounding previous episodes.   

Our good friends at Porsche of Wallingford will be our hosts for this exciting event. General Manager Steve Gilligan and his team will be on hand to answer any questions surrounding the latest new Porsche vehicle offerings as well as provide the CVR members with a tasty dinner. After some socializing and dinner we’ll move on to review the CVR business calendar and then present you with our topic for the evening. 

Note: CVR members must provide their PCA membership number and the names of their guests.  The monthly meetings are held for current members of PCA/CVR and their guests.
