AFP Greater Madison September Chapter Breakfast

Donor Conversations About Planned Giving

For many of us in fundraising, planned giving seems to require a level of expertise not in our tool box. And when a fundraiser is juggling many other duties, it can be easy to avoid the topic. Presenters Courtney Polster and Judi Martinez, however, say that like all aspects of fundraising, it is about building relationships with donors. And while it’s important to be knowledgeable about planned gift vehicles and to identify opportunities to give, it’s much more important to talk with donors about their aspirations for our nonprofit organization and how they want to help. Join us to learn how to start conversations with your donors about planned giving!

Presenters:
Courtney Polster, PhD, CFRE, Campaign and Major Gifts Officer at Agrace HospiceCare Foundation
and
Judi Martinez, J.D., CFP, ChFC, Director and Financial Advisor at The Burish Group of UBS
