AFP Greater Madison Chapter Luncheon

Donors of the Future

Join us for this panel featuring three young philanthropists in the Madison community. Learn how they are different from donors of today, how they will best be identified, obtained and engaged.

Moderator:

Diana Henry is the Director of Public Relations for Rippe Keane Marketing. Henry made the switch to PR after spending more than a decade behind the anchor desk as a television news journalist, most recently at WKOW-TV in Madison. During her broadcast news career, Henry received honors that include multiple Associated Press awards, regional Emmy and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow award, which she received for an hour-long documentary on recovery efforts after the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

Henry is very involved in the local philanthropic community; actively volunteering her time and talents with UW Carbone Cancer Center Emerging Leadership Board, Public Relations Society of America, JDRF of Western Wisconsin and Friends of Diabetes Research. Henry has personally raised nearly $20,000 over the last four years for JDRF Ride to Cure and was recently honored with the 2015 JDRF of Western Wisconsin Volunteer of the Year.

Panelists:

Ryan Behling is a Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch. Ryan serves on the United Way of Dane County Board of Directors and as Secretary/Treasurer, on the Board of Directors for DAIS (Domestic Abuse Intervention Services) and on the Advisory Board for the UW Carbone Cancer Center.  Ryan is also the Chair of the Merrill Lynch Grand Gala that has raised over $3.6 million for the Madison Community in the last ten years.in us for this panel featuring three young philanthropists in the Madison community. Learn how they are different from donors of today, how they will best be identified, obtained and engaged.

Jeannie Cullen Schultz is the Healthcare Construction Director for JP Cullen, a 5th generation family owned Construction Management and General Contractor. She is responsible for business development, work procurement, project management development and support, and project execution for all healthcare related work throughout WI and northern Illinois. She is Manager of JP Cullen’s Madison office.

Jeannie is on the board with the UW Carbone Cancer Center Emerging Leadership board, a CATCH (Communities Around the Children’s Hospital) committee member, Junior League of Madison Committee Chair, St Vincent de Paul Board Member, UW OBGYN Community Advisory Council Member, Big Brother Big Sister board member, United Way of Dane County Rosenberry Council member, and a Downtown Rotary member. Between Jeannie and her company they philanthropically support each of these organizations along with many more including $25,000 towards scholarships annually for high school students as well as UW Madison, UW Platteville, and MSOE students. Their current JP Cullen Foundation is at $3.5 million with a goal of $5 million in the next year.

Kayla Storlid founded Kayla's Custom Cleaning in 2001. She currently has 39 employees. They specialize in residential and commercial move in/move out and post-construction cleaning. She founded turnover app in May 2015. Turnover app automates the move in/move out process for property managers, cleaners, carpet cleaners, painters, maintenance and furniture movers. This is highly effective for the August 14 and 15th when all the students are out of the units and all the units need a lot of work and have very little time. The app allows property managers and service providers to communicate on a mobile device. It also keeps track of time and saves money.

Kayla currently sits on two boards and is the chair of the UW Small Business Development Center’s entire state (including the entire UW system). She is a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is also involved with the Road Home program. She has been involved in pet therapy work food pantries and Kayla's Custom Cleaning donates to many causes.
