In commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the start of the War of 1812, PCHE presents the 2012 conference with a focus on the impact of the conflict at a local, state, and national level. Particular emphasis is placed on the Battle for Lake Erie, national politics, the Flagship Niagara, and integrating the subject matter into contemporary teaching.

Hear dynamic speakers, network with your colleagues in education, visit the vendors, enjoy the Bayfront, tour the Museum, the inner workings of the power plant, and the Flagship Niagara. The Conference is presented as a resource to history educators, and is open to the public. Whether you are a professional educator, a college or grad student, a museum administrator or staff member, or a history enthusiast - all are welcomed!
PA Council for History Education is a 501(c)3 non-profit, organized to support the development and implementation of meaningful and effective History curriculum and instruction; provide quality professional activities for History educators and students; and encourage educational and professional interaction among History educators.
