Navigating Your Future in Medical Writing and Editing: Tools, Tips, and Technology

Join us at Mason Square for our annual chapter meeting. This unique hybrid event offers medical communicators on the cutting edge of their profession the opportunity to attend for the full day in person, or to view a livestream of the morning sessions on Zoom. AMWA-MAC has created an educational program intended to further your career as a medical writer/editor by tapping into our network of talented presenters who will share their tools and tips, particularly with technology in mind.

Núria Negrão, PhD, a freelance medical writer in the continuing medical education space, is giving this year's keynote address, AI in Medical Writing: Starting the Journey. This exciting cutting-edge presentation will ignite your curiosity and provide you with a clearer perspective about the capabilities of AI in medical writing and editing. Learn what you can do with AI!

Attendees will have the opportunity to choose between learning about the dynamic world of regulatory medical writing with Andrea Clark, PhD, or discovering strategies for small business marketing and government contracting with Timm Johnson, a consultant from Virginia's Mason Small Business Development Center.

Once you have a handle on AI, regulatory writing, or small business marketing, listen to our panel discussion to explore three different paths in the field of medical communications. AMWA-MAC President-Elect, Barry Johnson, PhD, BSN, RN, MWC, will host Swati Dadhich, PhD, Greg Gargiulo, and Heather Gorby, PhD, as they share their insights on the industry.

In the latter portion of the conference, attendees will engage in the roundtable discussions of their choice. Regardless of which sessions are chosen, participants will leave with their minds better prepared for the future of medical writing and editing and their eyes optimistically set on the horizon.

Mark your calendars for March 14, and register today!
