Sheridan is home to Vacutech, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of central vacuum systems used in the industrial, car wash, commercial and medical markets.  John Tucker, CEO of Vacutech, will share his company’s story from inception to strong growth at the next e2e Wyoming at the Best Western Sheridan Center at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 25th.

John was born and raised in San Diego, CA and spent most of his young adult life managing various divisions of the family’s central vacuum business.  John left California in the early 80’s to begin his own business in Denver, which he sold at the age of 36.  He spent the next 15 years developing real estate and offering his services in several corporate turnarounds.

John and his brother, Tom, formed Vacutech in 2004 to design and manufacture central vacuum systems used by car wash and industrial customers.  Vacutech thrived in Denver and soon outgrew its manufacturing facility.

After careful investigation and exploration, the decision to move Vacutech to Sheridan became a reality.  John oversaw the building construction of Vacutech’s 45,000 square foot facility on the north end of Main Street.  Vacutech opened its doors in Sheridan in January 2012.  The company's fully integrated product design, engineering, manufacturing and installation expertise enables Vacutech to manufacture world-class, custom-built vacuum systems.

Vacutech took an investment from Vopne Capital in 2014 to assist with the company’s growth and currently employs 125 people.  Vacutech's vacuum systems can be found in every state in the USA, throughout Europe, Asia and Australia.
