IBA Chairman's Dinner-June 16th, 7:00 pm

Arrive early to attend the Chairman's Dinner, hosted by Sarah Hautala, IBA Chairman of the Board as IBA pays tribute to Chicago Radio Icon Clark Weber as IBA's newest Hall of Famer and celebrates the careers of IBA's newest "IBA Pioneers" Lyle Dean and Armando Perez.  Tickets may be purchased individually for $40 or added to any registration for an additional $40.

Lyle Dean, IBA Pioneer

Lyle Dean  Lyle Dean worked alongside of some of  Chicgo's iconic radio  personalities and began his Chicago career  at WLS-AM in 1968, he later worked at WFYR-FM.  In 1984 Lyle began his 22 year tenure at Tribunes' WGN Radio.   

Armando Perez, IBA Pioneer

 Armando began as a disc  jockey for WTAQ in Chicago, moved to sport broadcasts in Spanish  language for WCIU-TV.  His  voice could be heard on  WOJO and WTAQ  broadcasting Chicago sports and was the Founder/President of the National Association of Latin American Broadcasters. 

Clark Weber is IBA Hall of Famer

 Weber has been  an American radio  personality in Chicago. Clark began his start in  radio as an amateur radio  operator in 1950. He moved to Chicago in 1961 where he joined the staff of WLS, Weber became well known spinning Top 40 records.

Larry Nelson, President/CEO of Nelson Multimedia, Plano, has been voted as the 2015 IBA Broadaster of the Year.

Nelson serves as Treasurer of the IBFoundation and has been active in the IBA Broadcast Champions program since it's beginning in 2004.

 He's worked in both radio and television in Chicago and will deliver his humor and comedic approach to being a broadcaster today.

Conn, a radio host on WGN-AM is also a contributor to ABC 7's Windy City Live morning show.

TV's "Gadget Guy" will look at the changing landscape of the living room and show off some of the latest technologies to keep you ahead of the curve.  Session is designed for any station staff using new technologies from the sales department to the news department.  Production staff and News staff with Silver Dome Banquet tickets can arrive early and attend this technology session at NO EXTRA CHARGE.

Legal, Legislative & Regulatory Panel, 3:30 - 5:30 pm

GMs, Ops Managers, Station Managers and Owners are encouraged to attend this end of the day session that takes a deep look into the current and future state of the broadcasting industry.  .

Panelists include:  Don Craven-IBA Attorney; Kurt Hansen-AccuRadio, Mike McClain-IBA Lobbyist, Kelly Williams-NAB Engineering, Richard Zaragoza-Pillsbury Law and Paul Brenner of NextRadio.

Session will cover all you need about the industry's legislative climate in Illinois and across the country.  Paul Brenner joins Kurt Hanson to discuss the "Future of Internet Radio" and "Next Radio" updates.
