Muddy Fun Pottery Camp

Hosted by Jon Colburn & Chenoa Bevenour

July 16 - 20

1 pm - 4 pm (ages 7 - 13)    $125 per camper

($10 sibling discount)

Clay is a wonderful, tactile medium that many kids have never experienced before.  Its three dimensional nature forces kids to think about structure, shapes and forms.  Using three basic hand building methods: coiling, pinching and slabs, they will create things such as hand stamped tiles, leaf dishes, animal whistles, personalized mugs  and many other fun pieces.  Each camper will also get an opportunity to experience "throwing clay" on the potters wheel.  Campers will build and glaze all of their own work and have it to take home with them.  Campers should be willing to get their hands dirty and have some muddy fun!"

Non-resident camp policy:

Non-residents may register for camp after May 15th only if attending as a guest with a HC resident. One guest per HC resident permitted.

Inclement Weather Policies:

Sport-related camps are outdoor camps.  Camp instructors provide ample water breaks and some camps will include swimming.  It is the parent/guardian responsibility to apply sunblock on your child prior to arriving at camp each morning.  In addition, it is important to supply your child with enough cold, drinking water for the entire duration of the camp each day.

Cancellation of a camp due to inclement weather (heat, rain, etc.) is determined at the discretion of the camp instructor.  A decision/policy by the instructor will be given to parent on first day of camp.

Should camp be cancelled due to inclement weather it is up to the instructor to provide an alternate date or pro-rate the camp. If an alternate date is offered, then a pro-rate will not be an option, even if the camper is unable to attend.

BY REGISTERING FOR THIS CAMP, YOU AGREE WITH THE POLICIES LISTED ABOVE.
